Like Fantasia Gardens, this Disney course features 36 holes of golf.Unlike Fantasia Gardens, both courses are similar and do not feature the ultra-tough, ultra-long holes seen on the Fantasia Fairways course.Instead, these courses both feature very similar obstacles, with the only difference being one has a summer theme and the other a winter theme. We only had time to play the winter themed one.

The winter course features various winter/north pole/Santa themed obstacles including a snow castle, pond hockey and ski runs.Several of the holes feature motion sensor-based events (a very cool addition) including one where your ball gets twisted up the North Pole (though it didnít do much to lower your score). The course was also well maintained and the obstacles were in good shape (though the rubberized starting mats were strange and we bypassed them). The course itself plays very easy (both of us were well under par and had holes-in-one on 7 of the 18 holes). Many of the greens near the cup were funneled towards the cup, assisting those shots that were only a bit offline.

Being a Disney property the course was a bit more expensive that it warranted (though you do get Ĺ off the second round, any time during the day, at either of the Disney courses), but the overall play and atmosphere here was very good.Weíd recommend visiting if you find yourself in the Orlando area.

Typical of anything associated with Disney, this course is one of the nicest weíve reviewed so far. There are 2 18-holes courses, the Sand Course and the Snow Course. We only played the Snow Course this time. The Snow Course is not difficult at all.Itís a great course for children. There are no unnecessarily difficult shots, and most holes have slopes toward the cup.The course is very clean, and there isnít anything in the way when taking a shot.Itís spread out so thereís plenty of space to wait in-between holes.Thereís also a lot to look at on the course, and thereís even things that pop up when triggered by the movement of the ball. The only negative aspects of the course were that 1 hole was closed because it was under construction (for painting), and the 18th hole was not working. Both courses end in the same place so we were able to use the 18th hole of the Sand Course instead. This is likely because we played this course in November, and it was the off-peak season for Disney.Even though the admission price is rather high, every player receives a free golf ball at the end of play.We also got free mini Sharpies and mini candy canes. We would recommend this course to people of all ages. This is a great family venue.Itís located close to Blizzard Beach, and itís a great place to get the Disney experience without paying the pricy park admission fee.

2010 Update

The Putting Penguin reviewed the Winter course in 2006 and again in 2008.The Summer course is just as enjoyable to play. The premise of this course is that Santa is on vacation at the beach. The course has themed music (mostly the Beach Boys). There are creative hazards such as the inner tubes on the ďriverĒ and Santa sleeping in the ďsand.ĒEven though thereís a lot to look at on the course most of the shots are straight-forward and relatively easy.

Overall the course rates very high and we donít have many complaints. There was a lot of leaf litter on the course.Generally it did not interfere with play, but it would have been nicer if it had been swept up.Unfortunately, there were a couple holes where the balls got stuck on the ramps.

Once the players are done they are given a free Disney golf ball. This course is great for families and people of all ages.Itís the perfect thing to do if you want the Disney experience without paying for Park admission.
