The Putting Penguin has reviewed several Pirate’s Cove miniature golf courses all over the East Coast.  This chain of minigolfs never ceases to impress us.  There’s always a lot to look at, the theme is followed really well throughout the course, and we especially like the pirate factoids along the way.  Like all the other Pirate’s Coves there are two 18-hole courses, but on this trip we only had time to play one of them.  We played this course at night, and it’s really well lit.

The course is laid out really well.  There’s a lot of space in-between the holes and the layout allows for walking up to holes on the hill and down into caves.  The mats are in great condition, and the water is really clean.  The hole designs are also pretty creative.  Our only complaint is that on some holes it was too easy for the ball to go out of bounds.  Even though the course was well lit, the out-of-bounds areas were not, and sometimes it took a while to retrieve the ball.

Even though Pirate’s Cove is one of the pricier minigolf courses around, it’s always worth the money.  It’s a great place to bring the whole family, and it offers a lot of photo opportunities.  If you’re looking to do something non-Disney related with the family while in the Orlando area we would highly recommend this course.
