Well,
this was a first for us- a free minigolf!
Granted, it’s only 6 holes long, is in a furniture store and has no way
of keeping score- but it was free (along with free cookies and candy too). The deal here is that the Bob’s Discount
Furniture in Manchester, CT has a variety of options to keep people
interested in shopping for furniture (or a way to keep kids busy while the
adults shop). One of the items happens
to be a 6-hole miniature golf course.
Now, the course uses regular minigolf putters, but the balls are a foam
type of ball that is usually associated with urban golf (Google “urban golf” if
you are interested in more information on that topic). The course is in good condition with no
trash. There is a mural of a real golf
course painted all around the course, and one of the negatives is that the
course uses flags in its cups. Also, while
the sign in the pond implied that there were fish, we couldn’t find any. If you are thinking about shopping at a Bob’s
for furniture, then we suggest this on so you can play the minigolf. If you are just interested in playing some
free minigolf, then stop on by and pretend you are interested in furniture
(though watch out, those salesmen will be on you the minute you get in the
door- don’t let them get in the way of some minigolf!)
