(1/21/26): We are going a bit out of order and posted a few newer visitor reviews from New Jersey today. There will be more on the way and pending a potential snowstorm we'll be at our first AMA tournament of the season this weekend!
(1/9/26): Brand new review has been posted of the Dusty Planet course in Rhode Island that we played a couple of times this past year! We've also caught up on one old visitor review from New Jersey. We're going to try to catch up on a few more reviews in January and February before too much of the competitive minigolf season starts!
(12/7/25): We aren't sure if we will get a new review poste before the end of the year, so if not here's just a few things to consider if you want to enjoy some minigolf over the holidays:
- Congrats again to Jeremy Inabinet on winning the 9th Matterhorn International Pro-Am! You can rewatch all of the action over on the World Adventure Golf Tour's YouTube page. You can find more videos on our YouTube page.
- We also had a busy summer with being on ESPN's "the Ocho" and attending the Minigolf World Championships in Germany. You can follow our social media as well as the WMF's YouTube for more on those events!
- Be sure to check out the Puttcast for new episodes each month (which is now part of the GolferGang podcast network).
(10/7/25): New visitor review from CT posted today and not one, but three(!), reviews of library minigolf courses are also on the novelty page now. Congrats again to Jeremy Inabinet on winning the 9th Matterhorn International Pro-Am! It was a very close tournament and you can rewatch all of the action over on the World Adventure Golf Tour's YouTube page. We will be posting additional information across our socials.

It was a very close tournament and you can rewatch all of the action over on the World Adventure Golf Tour's YouTube page. We will be posting additional information across our socials. We also posted today a review for a new minigolf course in CT that was re-built on a spot that had been closed for a while.
(9/14/25): It is tournament week! The pro division of the Matterhorn International Pro-Am tees off early on 9/20 and there will be live scoring as well as streaming action. (The smaller amateur tournament will be Friday night) This tournament is the highest level Blue tournament of the AMA which means there's lots of national ranking points available! It is also part of the WMF World Adventure Golf Tour. You can find plenty more to follow of the action on our Instagram, Facebook and YouTube pages.
(8/6/25): Did you see us on ESPN "the Ocho"? The National Putting Tour "Super Roll of Putting" aired on July 31st and we got a good few minutes of air time on the show. We are keeping an eye on any replays so that you can record it if you missed it. Don't forget we're now less than 2 months away from the Matterhorn International Pro-Am, so register now!
(7/6/25): Despite our best efforts, it has still been a month since our last update. We've been doing a lot of work helping cover the World Adventure Golf Masters as well as playing in a National Putting Tour event scheduled to be on ESPN 2 this summer! With all this going on, we have posted a new review from a course we played a few years back in Texas. Don't forget we're now less than 3 months away from the Matterhorn International Pro-Am, so register now!
(5/27/25): It has been a long time away but we're back with some visitor reviews. We posted two visitor reviews from NJ and one from RI today. The big minigolf news lately has been highlights of the World Adventure Golf Tour final made Olympics.com! We also have opened registration for the WAG Tour event, our Matterhorn International Pro-Am, held on September 20, 2025. Come try to win your way to the next WAG Tour final!
(4/6/25): After another month, we are back with a new Penguin review and a visitor review from NJ posted. As always we have a full backlog that we're working through but it has been slow going as we keep up with all the other minigolf things in the world! If you are interested in helping some friends of the Penguin go to an international tournament in May, check out our GoFundMe.
(3/9/25): We visited a course back in January that we hadn't play in CT in over 10 years. It's changed names/owners but a similar type blacklight course still. A couple weeks ago we also played in the AMA's O-Street Winter Classic and Pat finished with an impressive second place after never seeing the course before! There's plenty of AMA tournaments coming up - why don't you join the fun?
(2/7/25): Two more visitor reviews got onto the site today, one from MA and one from NJ. The AMA 2025 season has kicked off and we're ready for 30+ tournaments in 2025 including the Matterhorn International Pro-Am. Details on that tournament will be updated soon but save the date for September 20!
(1/22/25): Working our way through updates of reviews. We have a LOT of visitor reviews to get to, so sorry if you don't see yours up yet! Today was an update of our review of a course in MA, plus new visitor reviews from PA and NJ. The AMA 2025 season gets started on Sunday!
(12/22/24): A new review from our trip to TN is posted now and we updated a long-time favorite in CT this week as well. Happy Holidays to all who celebrate!
(12/2/24): Three visitor reviews from way back in 2022 were posted today in NJ! So many more to get through but hopefully this is a good start for our backlog. Thank you to everyone who takes the time to send in a review!
(11/6/24): We are getting back to review season and have now gotten up our review of Mossy Creek in Tennessee, which is home to the TN Open. Plenty more for us to work on as the nights turn cold here in New England.
(10/27/24): We are getting back to review season and got caught up on a visitor review from MA along with marking a few more courses closed unfortunately. Don't forget to look back at the 8th Matterhorn International Pro-Am and you can watch the live-stream replay - by the end of the year we should have the date of the 9th tournament locked down!
(10/3/24): So much happened in the month of September we couldn't keep up with it here (but covered it all on our social media channels). Most recently we just posted our review of a course in TN we played in August. Our own Pat also got back to the top of the podium in September, winning the 31st Lee Stoddard Dolphin Open, his second win there. After that we put on a very successful 8th Matterhorn International Pro-Am and you can watch the live-stream replay. Congrats to Highligther on winning and punching his ticket to the World Adventure Golf Tour Final!
(8/31/24): A long time since our last update as it has been a busy minigolf summer. We dropped a new review from RI today and in the past couple of months we have 1) played the Farmington Miniature Golf Tournament, 2) played the Maine Open, 3) played the O-Street Open and 4) played the TN Open! Next weekend we have the Lee Stoddard Dolphin Open and then on 9/21 it is the Matterhorn International Pro-Am which we hope to live stream!
(6/7/24): A second update in a week! Today we have a new visitor review from NJ as well an update of a CT course that we haven't played in 20 years! Congrats also goes out to our own Pat who secured his second win there, going back-to-back in the first years of that tournament. In addition, Mandy took home the title in the Women's Division for some of the first "sweep" of hardware by the Penguin team. Good luck to all playing in the World Crazy Golf Championships in the UK this weekend and the World Adventure Golf Masters (WAGM) in the Czech Republic next weekend!
(6/3/24): Today we posted a review from a sadly now closed course that we played in Minnesota back in 2023 the first time we went to the Looniest Open. Congrats also goes out to our own Pat who secured his second win there, going back-to-back in the first years of that tournament. In addition, Mandy took home the title in the Women's Division for some of the first "sweep" of hardware by the Penguin team. We also did two charity events in the past month so it has been a very busy time for us headed into the summer season.
(5/9/24): We have expanded into our 12th country now by way of our review of a course in Copenhagen, Denmark this year. There's a still about 8-10 reviews, both ours and visitors, we need to catch up on and we are working through that backlog. This weekend we head to Minnesota for our first tournament of 2024 and joining our friends A Couple of Putts at the Looniest Open, an AMA event.
(4/25/24): It is World Penguin Day! Happy waddling from this penguin family! Over the past couple of weeks we have had some great media for Dave and Caleb who are now in Brno, Czech Republic practicing for the World Adventure Golf Tour Final. You can find updates with all of this media on the GoFundMe page which is still taking donations. You can watch the tournament starting around 4am on Saturday, April 27 at this link. Then up next for us we have a trip to MN to play in an AMA tournament and hopefully some more review updates for the site. Keep up to speed with everything we are doing on our Facebook and Instagram accounts.
(3/31/24): Happy Easter to those who celebrate! We're about a month our from our friends Dave and Caleb leaving for the Czech Republic and we got some great press coverage on FOX61 on Friday. We still want to draw your attention to our GoFundMe to help support them. Dave and Caleb qualified for the WMF World Adventure Golf Tour final and we are hoping our penguin family can help offset some costs of this significant achievement!

(2/20/24): We finally got around to posting another review from our 2022 Texas trip, whittling down how many we have outstanding. We also want to continue to draw your attention to our GoFundMe to help support two of our friends who are trying to make an international tournament. Dave and Caleb qualified for the WMF World Adventure Golf Tour final and we are hoping our penguin family can help offset some costs of this significant achievement!

We also want to draw your attention to our GoFundMe to help support two of our friends who are trying to make an international tournament. Dave and Justin qualified for the WMF World Adventure Golf Tour final and we are hoping our penguin family can help offset some costs of this significant achievement!

(12/17/23): As we head into the holiday season we're hoping to catch up on a few things. Right now, though, we want to draw your attention to our GoFundMe to help support two of our friends who are trying to make an international tournament. Dave and Justin qualified for the WMF World Adventure Golf Tour final and we are hoping our penguin family can help offset some costs of this significant achievement!
(11/22/23): We're sorry for such a long time between site updates - we've been busy with tournaments (running & playing) and other social media responsibilities! No new reviews yet here as we have a ton to work on but do you want to make sure your are catching a lot of our updates via the Puttcast and are following the fun of the WMF World Adventure Golf Tour. You can find the results of the Matterhorn International Pro-Am on it's page and you can find the final round and playoffs from the leaders over on the AMA YouTube page. Don't forget to check out the AMA website for all the information on the now completed 2023 season. Finally, you can check out Pat's latest blog about his Master's time over on Minigolfnews.com. Also, Happy Thanksgiving to our US followers!
(9/5/23): Sneaking in a couple of reviews here with a Penguin review from our recent trip to Sweden. We also updated two courses, one in NJ and one in MA, with additional visitor reviews we got in earlier in the year (there's still a bunch in our pipeline to update). Our tournament (the Matterhorn International Pro-Am) is coming up quickly so be sure to review the information below and sign-up if you want a crack at becoming this year's champion!
(9/5/23): It's been a very busy summer with tournaments (both played and covered, nationally and internationally) as well as tournament prep for the Matterhorn International Pro-Am, which is now just 2 weeks away! We'll be back at our reviews in a little while once some of this calms down.
(7/7/23): We've been on break a bit here from the reviews as we're focusing on content for the Matterhorn International Pro-Am. Walkthrough videos are being posted over on our YouTube if you you'd like some insight on how to play the course. Most of July will be dedicated to that along with prepping for some upcoming tournaments so we'll get to some reviews (both penguin and visitor) as time allows this summer.
(6/11/23): Couple of updates on the site today. We posted a new visitor review out of NY along with an update from the same visitor on a review she sent in a few years ago. We also posted our review of Dreamland in Texas, one of the most unique courses we have seen. Stay tuned over at the Puttcast for coverage of a lot of tournaments happening throughout June and July.
(5/28/23): In honor of our own Pat winning the 1st Looniest Mini Golf Open a couple of weekends ago in Minnesota (congrats Pat!), we pulled together a review of The Loon's Nest and pushed it to the front our line. In addition, with an upcoming charity event that we'll be a part of we also posted a new visitor review of Safari Golf in CT.
(5/7/23): Trying to catch up on reviews before starting into more 2023 courses but it won't happen fully as we're looking to head to MN next weekend to play in the Looniest Open! But anyway, we posted a new visitor review from NJ today along with an update of our review from a course in TX.
(4/12/23): We posted two new reviews from New Jersey today. One is a new course that was reviewed by a visitor and the other is a course we previously had visitor reviewed but now had a chance to add our penguin thoughts to. In case you missed the news, our tournament in September - the Matterhorn International Pro-Am - was selected to be a part of the World Minigolf Sport Federation (WMF) World Adventure Golf Tour for 2023-2024. You can see the WMF article about what the tour is and means for players in our event. So honored to be connected with the global minigolf community!
(4/7/23): In case you missed the news last week, our tournament in September - the Matterhorn International Pro-Am - was selected to be a part of the World Minigolf Sport Federation (WMF) World Adventure Golf Tour for 2023-2024. You can see the WMF article about what the tour is and means for players in our event. So honored to be connected with the global minigolf community!
(2/27/23): Busy week for minigolf last week, with the least of it being we managed to get up a new visitor review from NJ today. Over on the Puttcast, they had a talk about a letter we received from the USPMGA that garnered a lot of attention and there was the talk of minigolf sports betting this weekend on the World Putting League event happening today and tomorrow. It won't be long before the outdoor season is in full swing here in the Northeast (despite the snow we're getting today).
(2/20/23): It's been a short break for us posting, but we're jumping back into our backlog of reviews. Our most recent is another one from the Jersey Shore and a course we played last summer in Atlantic City.
(1/2/23): Welcome to 2023! Today we posted a review from the historic Cool Crest in San Antonio, TX as we continue to work through our backlog of reviews. This was a great course to play and review.
(12/27/22): Adding to our course totals for the year, we got a review up of another Monster Mini Golf course. This one comes from our April trip and is from Round Rock, TX. We still have about half-dozen reviews from 2022 to get through and posted to the site. Happy new year if we don't get another update done before the calendar flips to 2023!
(12/24/22): The stockings are hung and all the penguins are quiet in the house, so from our minigolf family to yours - Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! We posted a new visitor review from NC today and hope to get to some more reviews before 2022 shuts it doors.
(11/27/22): Nearly all complete on our visitor review backlog, posting two new courses from Virginia today and bringing our total on the website now to 402! We'll also continue to post several courses that we played in 2022 over the winter here as we prep for the 2023 season.
(11/24/22): Starting to catch up now with reviews in our queue. We just posted another visitor review from one of the most reviewed courses on our website in Connecticut - Hidden Valley. Happy Thanksgiving to all our followers in the United States!
(11/20/22): Big day today as we hit 400 courses reviewed on the website, courtesy of our latest Penguin review from Texas. This wouldn't be possible without a ton of visitor reviews we have gotten over the years. We still have a few in our email to get onto the site from 2022 as well. Here's looking to the next 100 courses and maybe we can round out all 50 states soon!
(11/8/22): Managed to get two more visitor reviews up today, one from Ohio on a course that was already reviewed and a brand new review form Washington. What will be our 400th course reviewed on the site?
